Event Details

The Co-operative College of the Philippines, with the support of CLIMBS Life and General Insurance Cooperative, the National Federation of Cooperative Primaries in the Philippines, and in collaboration with the Co-operative College UK, successfully brought together leaders of different nationalities for a transformative 10-day program in Manchester, United Kingdom—the birthplace of modern cooperativism. This Global Cooperative Executive Masterclass Cohort 4 provided a unique, immersive experience, blending advanced skill development, strategic insights, and cultural appreciation designed specifically for today’s cooperative leaders.

Set against the rich historical backdrop of Manchester, the program enabled participants to reconnect with the roots of the cooperative movement, fostering a renewed appreciation for its values and principles. The curriculum was thoughtfully structured to address both the challenges and opportunities cooperatives face today. Leaders gained hands-on experience with practical tools for navigating issues like member engagement, governance, and sustainability, while enhancing their strategic and management skills in ways directly applicable to their roles.

Guided by seasoned cooperative experts, participants engaged in workshops and discussions that encouraged creative problem-solving and long-term strategic thinking. The masterclass allowed for the exchange of innovative ideas and effective practices, with leaders learning not only from the curriculum but also from one another, creating a supportive network of peers from across the Philippines.

By the program’s end, delegates returned home not only with expanded knowledge but also with a refreshed perspective on their mission, empowered to implement new strategies that align with cooperative values. This successful learning journey underscored the power of collaboration between Philippine cooperative organizations and their UK partners, highlighting the cooperative model’s enduring relevance in promoting sustainable, inclusive growth in a globalized world.
