Celebrating Women Leaders in the Cooperative Movement

Empowering Women: Catalyst for Change in Cooperative Leadership

Rationale

Women play a critical role in the success and growth of the cooperative movement in the Philippines. They comprise a significant portion of cooperative members and actively contribute to their governance, operations, and social impact. However, despite their invaluable contributions, women leaders often face challenges in gaining recognition and achieving their full potential. This event is a tribute to the remarkable contributions of women leaders in the cooperative movement. Aligned with International Women’s Day (March 8th) and National Women’s Month in the Philippines, it seeks to amplify the voices of women in cooperatives, providing a platform to share experiences, inspire, and foster gender equality within the cooperative sector.
