Breaking grounds for a lasting and multi-generational cooperative education

The Co-operative College of the Philippines conducted a ceremonial groundbreaking and well-drilling at the future campus grounds in Barangay Hinigdaan, El Salvador City, on June 28, 2024.

The ceremony marks the beginning of the campus’ building driven by the Build With Us campaign and its donors.

A ceremony for the deep well-drilling was also administered, spearheading the college’s call to action in making potable water accessible in the area —honoring the 7th cooperative principle: Concern for the Community.

“The best gift you can give to young people is education and from what I’ve seen you not only have dreams but you make your dreams come true.” shared Lieven Keppens of Belgian Raiffeisen Foundation —one of CLIMBS Life and General Insurance Cooperative’s International Partners, during the ceremony underscoring the college’s effort to uphold the 5th cooperative principle: Education, Training, and Information.
