Co-operative College of the Philippines

First Board of Trustees Meeting of 2025

Shaping the Future Together: A Dynamic Day with the Board of Trustees

Last April 26, the Co-operative College of the Philippines marked a meaningful moment as its Board of Trustees gathered for a productive and forward-looking session. It was a day filled with thoughtful reflection, internal celebration, and strategic planning — all focused on strengthening the College’s impact and preparing it for the road ahead.

The session began with the Management Report, presented by CEO and Principal Donna C. Dizon. Her report provided a comprehensive overview of recent developments within the institution, celebrating progress across various initiatives and reaffirming the College’s continued commitment to cooperative education. Following this, the Financial Report was delivered by CLIMBS Vice President for Finance and Compliance, Bernadeth N. Bernadas, offering transparency and insights into the College’s current financial standing and sustainability efforts.

A key highlight of the day was the in-depth strategic dialogue around enhancing the College’s operations and services — particularly in training delivery and leadership development. Trustees explored how to better support and prepare future cooperative leaders, ensuring that the College remains responsive to the evolving needs of the sector.

Another exciting part of the agenda was a revisit of the Build With Us campaign. The Board shared ideas on how to deepen engagement and expand the campaign’s reach, tapping into the spirit of collaboration that fuels the cooperative movement.

Throughout the session, open and honest conversations created space for meaningful input. Every discussion underscored the Trustees’ unwavering commitment to the College’s mission and their shared vision for growth.

As the day concluded, there was a renewed sense of energy and direction. The Board’s collective leadership continues to shape a strong future for the Co-operative College of the Philippines — and for the many cooperative leaders it is dedicated to empowering.
